Gratitude

  • What can you see in above picture?

Of course you can see two 100LKR(0.5USD) notes in two envelopes.

  • Now you might get wonder why this idiot putting this kind of photo in his blog. There is a reason I posted this photo. Let me demonstrate it delicately.

  • Basically I was doing buying and selling stuff. Because that I bought my items directly from local shops and because of the commission rate + TAX + Transaction fees, I could not make a huge profit out it.

  • But how ever in the middle of the August I made a profit calculation from my sellings. Actually I got 5000LKR of profit out of my sellings of over 20,000LKR business after 4 months.

  • I know its like 1000LKR per month. But, I earned nothing in year 2020. So, I was happy.

  • After taking out my profit, I decided to give 4% out of my profit to my parents. Then mom would get 2% and father would get 2% out of my profit.

  • Above picture shows how I gave money to my parents. 200LKR was nothing compared to the salary of my father. But, I was happy because it was earned by my self. A 22 year old giving parents 200LKR amount of money.

  • Maybe I was too late. Because some people earn in early age of 18 in Sri Lanka. But I do not have a competition with those.

  • But I'm happy that I got the idea to give away a part of my profit to my parent at my young age. Some don't do that even after their 30's.

  • The point is we need to show gratitude for our parents. They may not want your money at all, but give them some as you can. It may be 10LKR or it may be 100,000LKR amount doesn't matter. It's the emotion that matters. Because at the end of their lives, you can say "I made them happy" to your self.

Thank you!!!

Hope you got something out of this blog...
